A new twist

U.S. — I never even wince anymore when I hear how bad people hate Congress.
This week their approval rating is down to 5 %.
It seems that everyone complains about Congress, but the me old people get sent back.
Rassmussen has a new political poll out today which really did shock me: voters continue to believe that most members of Congress are for sale. They believe their own representative is as guilty as the rest.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 60% of likely U.S. voters now believe that most members of Congress are willing to sell their vote for either cash or a campaign contribution.
This flies in the face of everything I've ever heard and the conventional wisdom of D.C.
It's always been a running joke that everyone is really complaining about the other lawmaker but now their own.
With Americans being this cynical, I think politics will become even more volatile... which is not a bad thing.
Many go to our nation's capitol and get rich.
The only time you see them back here is during campaign season wearing a flannel shirt or carrying a chain saw or whatever they think mixes them in with the local folks who sent them to D.C.
The narrative about the poll concluded by saying this: While many in Washington dismiss such perceptions by claiming that people hate Congress, but love their own representative, voters are skeptical of their own representative as well.
That's a new twist.
We need to be ever vigilant watching and looking at every thing our elected reps do.
I'm talking city, county, state and national.
If they ever thought they had it made, they need to know the party is over.
That's my point of view what's yours?
