A ship stuck 'on the rocks'

I'm sure you all have seen the media reports concerning the 52 crew-member ship being stuck in the Antarctic ice.

The ship started to run into trouble Christmas Eve and lucky for them there was another ship close by that had a helicopter on it.

Little by little, the helicopter, battling high winds, fog and snow was used to carry crew members to safety.

22 crew members were left on the ship to take care of it while it sat, helplessly, stuck in about 10 feet of ice.

One thing you're not hearing from the mainstream media is what that ship was doing. It was in the area of the world studying global warming, but I guess they figured out it was still cold.

Of course, now, they are trying to blame that on climate change.

Climate change used to be global warming until that definition was shot full of holes and could not be rescued.

And now the northeast is bracing for more cold, snowy weather later in the week.

All this comes after some cried, a year ago, winter snow in the United States was a thing of the past.

That's ridiculous.

That's my point of view, what's yours?

Its all about the money and they are getting filthy rich on global warming & green products like Dave said, even the oil companies are getting in on it, summer blend, winter blend, oxygenated, etc. Kind of like organic foods, twice the price for the same exact thing. They have already shown that global warming is a natural occurrence just like ice ages. They will tell you anything to make a buck. Remember the oil shortage in the 70's, we were supposed to have ran out by now.

In 1974 Time magazine ran an article titled; " Another Ice Age?". In it they described how we would all be dead from starvation by now, because the earth was cooling. Obama's science advisor, John Holdren is the man who made the 70's ice age prediction, and current global warming prediction. He's a little fickle about his predictions of gloom.
The story of the Boy Who Cried Wolf, describes the attitude of most Americans these days. It's sad that the media and government lie with impunity.

I think it's ironic that they're down there in the middle of the summer there trying to gather evidence of global warming and they got iced in. It'd be funny too if their lives weren't at risk. I'm curious as to how the captain of the ship allowed himself to get trapped there.

Yea but the SUMMER? Al Gore said by now Antarctica would be iceless.

Well it sure AIN'T! What is more the ice ON Antarctica land (not in the sea) is no where near loosing much of anything. It's rate of melt is very low as for what it has lost before.

And note, the SEAS have not risen. Got that? According to Gore by now we should be swimming in New Orleans.

Well we sure are not!

Don't worry folks. The 'climate change' or 'global warming' people will just come up with new name brand once REAL truthful data crops up showing they are wrong again.

But you know one day they will be right. After all, the sun will explode in a few billion years.

Honestly the worst part of this is that it's being used as an excuse to create a new market in carbon credits. Private individuals get to sell pollution rights to the highest bidder. Then a corporation gets to claim it's "going green" and "developing a sustainability plan", by purchasing the right to pollute. Why doesn't all the money from the sale of carbon credits in the US go into the general fund? Why are private individuals like Al Gore getting the money?
