tyler — Three months ago I was hearing all my left-leaning friends tell me the election was over.
The Republican debates were like watching the seven dwarves.
President Obama was riding high and they could not wait until the first presidential debate to stick a fork in this thing and get on about our business.
Then a few things starting happening. The presidents poll numbers started to fade. There was/is a scandal going on in Washington D.C. about just who is leaking extremely sensitive national security information to make the president look like John Wayne.
It's so bad, even liberal Senator Diane Finestein says it's the worst leaks she's ever seen and confirms the leaks are true.
Then Operation Fast and Furious finally got traction. Some media-- including right here -- have been harping on the ill-fated gun running scheme for months.
But when the president, just 10 minutes before attorney General Eric Holder was supposed to be grilled about it his buddy, President Obama claims executive privilege.
The same Obama that as a senator excoriated George Bush for using executive privilege.
It officially became his problem right then. And now nine Democrats, one of whom is Claire McKaskill of Missouri, are running away from President Obama.
These nine aren't even going to the Democratic National Convention.
Democratic spin-meisters say these Dems are so close to their district they don't have time to go and play in North Carolina.
But what it amounts to is that these Dems are in tough fights and don't want to be seen near him.
It's a tough slog right now for the president.
Am i saying he's done? No way. it's a long time before November.
But in the meantime, it's amazing how all my lib friends on social media are suddenly not posting musings about politics anymore.
They've gone back to posting pictures of their family.
That's my point of view, what's yours?
