Neal Barton's POV

Another Obamacare mess

While the president rides on Air Force One to the next fundraiser or vacation, you can bet his team will be working on a new problem from today.

CNBC reported in a potentially crippling blow to Obamacare, a federal appeals court panel declared Tuesday that government subsidies worth billions of dollars that helped 4.7 million people buy insurance on are illegal. This is a punch in the guy to Obamacare.

To make the plan work and to keep the prices artificially down, the president relies on this money to keep prices down.

CNBC stated the Obama administration said it will ask the full U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit to reverse the panel's decision, which for now does not have the rule of law. Meanwhile, this is a mess for Obamacare.

This was all caused by sloppy language in the health care law which was passed by a Democrat-controlled Senate and House. Remember, we had to pass it so we could read it.

National Review said the president's old law professor says this could be bad for Obamacare.

President Obama's old Harvard Law professor, Laurence Tribe, said that he "wouldn't bet the family farm" on Obamacare surviving the legal challenges to an IRS rule about who is eligible for subsidies that are currently working their way through the federal courts.

"I don't have a crystal ball," Tribe told the Fiscal Times. "But I wouldn't bet the family farm on this coming out in a way that preserves Obamacare."

The administration is betting on today's gut-punch being overturned by a panel of judges who were appointed by Democrats, which is sad because it shows the federal courts are nothing but political.

Another court today stood up for the law. Tthat probably means back to the Supreme Court.

That's my point of view, what's yours?

If you believe your disgusting posts aren't properly appreciated by triangle head/ketk, sheila, either quit all together, or find some obscure little off-beat site to vent your anger... it would be a start to having a site that promoted civility, instead of continuing to showcase your black hatred of government and the President of the United States. You're tired, old girl... time to detox your spiteful life.

And who's party was the majority in BOTH HOUSES AND THE PRESIDENCY to pass Obamacare?

Which party? Why DEMOCRAT! And did any Republican vote for it in the House? No?

In the House was 219-212, with 34 Democrats joining all Republicans in opposition.

Did any Republican vote for it in the Senate? NO.

So Obamacare was totally a DEMOCRAT scheme.

And that is why in just FIVE MONTHS voters can vote all DEMOCRATS out. We can't vote Obama out but we can vote all Dems up for election!!!

News flash. Obama told supporters at a Democratic fundraiser that he doesn’t watch the news because, “Whatever they’re reporting about, usually I know.”

But remember folks when Jay, the White House spokesman, said that Obama learned about the scandals at the VA from the news?

Hope for change in 2014. Let's vote Democrats out so Obama can learn about it in the news.

What value is a comment when it is censored if the content does not agree with KETK's version of America ?
Neil forgets that the ACA law did not pass because of a Democrat controlled congress, it passed by "loophole" when a supermajority did not exist and a simple majority was allowed.

Good point Shelia. Neal also conveniently and consistently overlooks the 7 million uninsured citizens in his own state. We see zero "news" coverage about that. But 52,000 illegal children are on Neal's script. And he'll read the script over and over again. I know Rupert Murdoch writes the script at Fox and Sky network. I wonder who writes Neals script? Who tells Neal what to harp on and what to ignore? I think the FCC should reconsider license renewal for KETK, until the script writer appears.

Odumass is already using the IRS, FBI, EPA, DOJ to silence decent. I don't see why he wouldn't use the FCC also. That's they way of these leftist totalitarians. They can't and won't tolerate decent, so they silence it.
