Be thankful

tyler — Hard to believe, but we are hear at my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving.
We all stay so busy, sometimes I really think we say we are grateful, but don't take the time to think about that.
We spend most of our time obsessing about things that really trouble us.
I want to urge you and your family, like I am urging myself and my family to really step back Thursday and think about your blessings.
I saw a bumper sticker this week that read, "it can really be worse." Not exactly inspiring, but, oh, so true.
Many of us will be going through a holiday season after the passing of a loved one.
You have a choice: be sad, or give thanks you had that person in your life as long as you did to make those happy memories.
Nothing, and I mean nothing on this Earth lasts forever, no matter how good or how painful.
I know right now many of us are going through agonizing financial time and stress and worry. I want to plead with you right now to let it go for a while
And we can all give thanks for living in the greatest country there ever was.
Yes, we have our problems and we have our fight and our uncertainty. But, if we are so bad, how come most of the rest of the world is trying to be here?
We need to slow down and step back and cut ourselves some slack. I mean cut everyone some slack.
We'll get through these tough times because we are America. We are the Kerr dog of the world.
If you don't see that is a compliment, you need to look it up.
It all boils down to what Abraham Lincoln said, "most people are as happy as they allow themselves to be."
Allow yourself to be happy and grateful. I'll work on me. You work on you.
That's my point of view, what's yours?

One barely knows where to begin regarding the jackson post...your political angst has obviously taken over every aspect of your life except breathing...what an incredibly sad and miserable way to live. If you were a Christian, being thankful in spite of external issues would encompass being alive, having people in your life that you loved and who love you, and thankful that you could do good in the world...but, I forgot...you are eaten up with being mad...again, how very, very sad.
I'm too mad to be happy.
