Today it was in the news that the General Accounting Office is going to look into the Department of Homeland Security hoarding bullets.

There is no evidence that the DHS is trying to do that, yet, but welcome to the party GAO.

If some legislation is passed that's in play on Capitol Hill, it would be illegal for the government to buy so much at one time and deprive American citizens of ammo.

That being said, there is more off and on about gun control.

Now, Bill Clinton is weighing in.

He is agreeing with Joe Biden, that a shotgun is the best thing for home protection.

We got a lecture from Joe Biden, a few months back, about how he would handle his house security.

It was some rambling statement that big Joe would go on his patio with his shotgun and fire off a few rounds.

I hope when the Vice President does that, he doesn't hit any secret service agents.

Now, Bill Clinton says the gun debate is an “Urban versus Rural” battle.

He says all anyone needs is a double-barreled shotgun.

Except, some which are on the market, how many shotgun folks, and I am one, have a double- barreled shotguns?

Bill is starting to sound like Gabby Hays.

But, speaking of is it an urban or rural questions, Boston and surrounding suburbs are nothing but urban areas. In the dictionary of city, it would be a picture of Boston.

So, if Biden's and Clinton's arguments are true.

How come every Boston-area policeman I saw on TV during the man hunt a few day ago, are holding an AR-15-like rifle?

Maybe the Biden and Clinton need to speak with the Boston Police Department.

That's my point of view, what's yours?

Bill Clinton wouldn't know his gun from a cigar.

The 'WELL REGULATED' clause of the 2nd Amendment was set as a REASON to keep the populace armed. It was not the ONLY reason.

Many of the founding fathers wrote about why they felt the populace needs to be able to keep and bear arms. It was not just as a militia for the state to call on but as a way for individuals to be able to stand up to the government.

And note it said people, Not the states, not the federal government, but the PEOPLE to keep AND BEAR arms.

I thought Dollar Bill Clinton had a SS detail to protect him and Hillary? So you see it's real easy for him to tell others what to use to protect themselves. His detail has 'assault rifles' as well as high capacity pistols. So you see, I agree, that is a good way to protect your home and person.

Amendment II. A well regulated militia, (A WELL REGULATED) being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. In District of Columbia v. Heller, 554 U.S. 570 the Supreme Court ruled that the Second Amendment "protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia,& to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, but also stated that "the right is not unlimited.

It is not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose". They also clarified that many longstanding prohibitions and restrictions on firearms possession listed by the Court are consistent with the Second Amendment.
