Dial it back, jessie

Jessie Jackson is back in the news again.

This week, while speaking in the state of Wisconsin, he made another controversial remark making some gun owners and gun shop owners mad.

He was speaking to an audience about issues such as job creation, the upcoming presidential election, and guns. He had some fairly strong words to say about firearms, stating that when you want to "protect the democracy from the insurgents the first thing you do is you stop the gun trading."

After speaking about the need for more jobs, Jackson called listeners to start "marching on gun shops across the country." Apparently, Jackson never got the memo that the gun trade has been a consistent job creator over the past several years. One chant that he repeated with his followers was, "Guns out. Jobs in." So, he's all about job creation, but only if those jobs don't have anything to do with guns.

You can

And by the way, the Reverend Jackson is from Illinois. A state with some of the toughest guns laws in the nation.

Look how that's working out.

That's my point of view, what's yours?

Well said, jpttm! The anti-gun fear-mongering is merely a scare tactic for the Democrats. (see don's post in the TX Primary Results article)

I'm sure he purposefully got it wrong. To defeat a democracy first thing you do is take away their guns. Hence the Second Amendment so we can defend ourselves aginst the tyrany of gov't which Ted Kennedy tried to say didn't exist in America.

Jesse may actually outlive the con he's been working for the last 50 years, but surely he's siphoned off enough money from the causes that he will be able to live large while the followers will continue to suffer from the democRATS policies.
