Neal Barton's POV

Global warming, laughable

Recently, a UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change published its first report in seven years on the now widely accepted phenomenon known as "climate change."

But, one teacher says it's all bunk and you won't hear this on the mainstream media. So I'm glad to serve equal time.

The House of Commons Science and Technology Committee published a report, damning the media for confusing 'fact' with opinion and pushing the message that, in terms of freak weather, 'the worst is yet to come.'

Yeah, sure it is.

Emeritus Professor Les Woodcock goes against the grain and when a reporter asks the former NASA scientist about "climate change" and "global warming," he laughs.

He says the term "climate change" is meaningless. The Earth's climate has been changing since the Earth was formed 1,000 million years ago. The theory of "man-made climate change" is an unsubstantiated hypothesis [about] our climate [which says it] has been adversely affected by the burning of fossil fuels in the last 100 years, causing the average temperature on the Earth's surface to increase very slightly, but with disastrous environmental consequences..

He says "there is no reproducible scientific evidence CO2 has significantly increased in the last 100 years."

"The reason records seem to be being frequently broken is simply because we only started keeping them about 100 years ago. There will always be some record broken somewhere when we have another natural fluctuation in weather."

But surely most of the world's leaders, scientific community and people in general can't be wrong can they?

Prof. Woodcock hits back: "This is not the way science works. If you tell me that you have a theory there is a teapot in orbit between the Earth and the moon, it's not up to me to prove it does not exist, Its up to you to provide the reproducible scientific evidence for your theory."

Amen sir.

That's my point of view, what's yours?

Yea but the climate as NOT grown hotter in the last decade. In fact it has cooled a bit.

So don't spend time worrying about what is not happening, nor spend zillions of dollars and massive economic change on junk science.

The potential consequences of runaway climate change are so catastrophic

News flash...

Gallup: Uninsured Rate Up Since Obama Elected
Roughly 3.6 million more uninsured since Bush administration.

Yea, Obamacare is the pits.

Hope for change in 2014. Show the Democrats the door. Let them sit at the back of the bus for a while and slup on their sluppies.

Now that you've outlined the media's narrative for the next election cycle, and since you introduced education then, which party is going to repeal the Affirmative Action laws which deny whites both jobs and education simply by their race? Will it be the D's in their zeal for racial equality or, R's the party of old white men? Does your conscience tell you neither, and do you secretly know why two generations of Anglo Americans have been denied equal opportunity? Media is our enemy.

News flash: Axelrod admits Dems have 'major hurdles,' after new poll.

"Every bit of evidence points to stronger GOP turnout in a low turnout elections this fall. Major hurdle for Ds," says Ax. The poll shows most people want Republicans in charge of Congress.

Hope for BIG change in 2014. Unemploy the dems so everyone else can finally get a job and get their OLD HEALTHCARE back!

And Hillary? Haha.. Struggles to list accomplishments during tenure as Sec of State. & $6 Billion is missing!

There's a good movie out called The Genesis Code. It explains the concept of time dilation and frame of reference. If God was at the point of the big bang at creation, and dictated what he saw from his frame of reference. Then Genesis 1 and the scientists are both correct. It is strange that Gen 1:1 seems to talk about the 3 building blocks of matter before physics was invented. In the beginning = time. The heavens = space. The earth = matter. Pretty good for ignorant shepherds.

I'm all good with accommodating interpretations now that I am aware why most are not. That point where Newton, Galileo, and Columbus grew old to accept.

Strange thing is, worldwide, for over 17 years, there as been NO increase in OVERALL world temperatures. If fact, there as been a bit of cooling. Only when Mars had a temp spike did Earth have one (as the Mars rover showed with data.) How come? Why the sun got hotter as it went through a cycle. check out the sites worldclimatereport and NOAA.

It's all a sham folks, a shame to jack up more taxes and make a 'New World Order' by socialist.

Hope for change in 2014. Say 'no' to dems'.

Deaf, on the topic of Climate change/Global warming, science is the red herring statement.

Alright, since all you seem to contribute are insults, you try. What topics do you want to see? You start the conversation, you come up with the thought out commentary, one that is critical but not degraded into name calling and hate filled (which seems to be something the left can't do).

"the Earth was formed 1,000 million years ago"

I would think an expert would know that the Earth is around 4.5 billion years old. Just saying.

Saw that too and laughed at the expert who would say 1,000 million instead of billion.

Do an internet search on the phrases China smog, Paris smog, or Mexico City smog. All these places have smog that exceeds levels that are safe for humans. Generally it's children and the elderly that suffer the most. COPD and asthma are prevalent. The word smog was first used in England, where hundreds died, literally smothered in their homes. Man definitely has a detrimental effect on his environment. We've had rivers catch on fire here. We won't destroy the planet. It'll destroy us.
