The dust from the election is settling down. Now the mainstream media is in a panic about the so-called fiscal cliff.

The media is having a field day and expressing some relief that in their minds a few Republicans are sounding like they may break rank and go for new taxes. Nothing makes the media happier.

CNN dragged Grover Norquist on to make him explain why his no new taxes pledge makes sense in the new fast-moving world.

Well, of course it still makes sense-- to them.

I always am alarmed when the media all of the sudden care about conservatives. That whole phrase is sort of an oxymoron.

New York Congressman Peter King, Senator Saxby Chambliss of Georgia, Senator Lindsey graham of South Carolina and everyone's squishy friend John McCain may vote for new taxes.

Here is the problem, entitlements. So the game is locked.

And I'll tell you this. We've been over taxed for years.

I grew up in a part of this state that for years they just kept passing taxes to keep things afloat.

Now, .everyone is moving our of my home town of Beaumont because you cant even pay the school Texas much less property taxes.

If I thought for a moment higher taxes would work I'd hold my nose, but it won't because the feds spend too much. They love to pass out the gimmies.

That's why this president got reelected.

Why would he change now?

That's my point of view, what's yours?

Why does the Whitehouse keep urging us to write our Rep in the House to compromise when it's Reid in the Senate, not the House, that keeps stading in the way?

POV, sign the petition...remove Texas from the US...make Texas sustainable and beholden to no one...build a very tall fence around this dirt you call home...but take into consideration this fact: the base of workers in this country who pay into SS and Medicare has been shredded by CEOs and investors who have outsourced American jobs overseas (Bangladesh!), just to pay pennies on the dollar for foreign workers. THERE IS YOUR PROBLEM, POV!!!

Snydergal -the "bigmouth" that wanted all the white racist rednecks put down after it was reported that the Klan doused a black girl in lighter fluid and lit her aflame. Turned-out the black girl had lit herself on fire and blamed the klan. Anyplace where you live snydergal has one racist too many.

Right..sign the petition to seceed from U.S.A. and watch Mexico ( if not just the drug cartels) "take back their country" land in less than a year.

Then Oklahoma and Louisiana can build a border fence. Hope you can anchor your propaganda desk in Spanish....

After watching Meet the Press Sunday, the left has no intentions of cutting any spending. The GOP Rep. guests said they're willing to raise some taxes but spending cuts need to done at the same time. Guests on the left said tax increases must come first, then talk cuts. Sharpton spoke of tax increases, but was deaftly silent when it came to spending cuts. I don't believe Obama when he says he'll agree to spending cuts. He's all about tax increases only.

jptm....Obama has ALREADY cut spending the last 4 years...he has spent less than the Eisenhower years and has cut the BIGGEST GOP spending protean of 2 unpaid wars by ending them.

Check out the spending records of both Reagan terms and both George WMD Bush terms. The highest in history.
