Neal Barton's POV

Let's help each other

POV

I had to call an audible this afternoon because the original POV was about the lunacy of Mayor Bloomberg carrying on with the New York cCty marathon despite the death and destruction which just happened.

But now, the drama to watch is what's going on with the union situation there. A utility crew from Alabama volunteered to go up to New Jersey and help out.

They were turned around by the local union bosses saying no thanks.

The media got so intense that the unions said that never happened and the Alabama folks are politely trying to make it all go away.

But as of right now, what looks to have happened is that this Alabama crew was hit with a 30 plus page letter saying basically is you're going to help us, you're going to join the union.

They tried to look other places to help. Discouraged, they came home to Alabama.

This is the most ludicrous thing I have ever seen. There should have never been any back and forth at all.

People are hungry. Our fellow Americans are cold. There is no clean water.

People can't go to the bathroom except for outside in some areas. And it all boils down to a union card.

Shame.

That's my point of view, what's yours?

The 3 poorest states in America are Nevada, Lousiana and Mississippi and all three have been under total control of the Republican Party for years.

Economy Statistics > Percent below poverty level (most recent) by state
# 47 New Jersey: of 50 states. WOW ONLY 3 STATES BETTER OFF THAN NEW JERSEY and Texas is NOT one of them. GUESS THOSE UNION JOBS MAKE THE ECONOMY IN NJ MUCH BETTER AND THE NON UNION JOBS HAVE MADE THE ECONOMY WORSE IN ALABAMA

Economy Statistics > Percent below poverty level (most recent) by state
# 9 Alabama: out of 50 states. WOW ALABAMA IS ONE OF THE 10 POOREST STATES IN AMERICA

To the boys from the Great State of Alabama, America salutes you. You got what America needs more of.

Hoboken, How's that Union stuff working out?

Can not read can you old buzzard. To the boys from the Poor State of Alabama, how are those low wages & no benefits working out for you?

Is this how you want to grow-up Kiddies, a mindless follower who hates American Workers and American Citizens like Charles? Then stand proud and be strong, don't let a little hard work and research make you a cripple of the republican party. Fight for American workers and their rights. Do not fall prey to the mindset that a "Right to Work For Less" policy is good for Americans..He (Charles), knows he is among his ilk when he votes republican.

I strongly stand for the right to work and be successful. But not to under threat of violance for not joining a organization that hates a work ethic, employers and employees.

You know nothing about unions or how they work jp. The only violance that has occured that involves unions is when the employers have attempted to murder the union members. FDR even sent troops into the northern states to protect workers from private security firms & local law enforcement that were hired by corporations to kill the union members and officers. Do just a little research on history of America.

Decatur Utilities later issued a statement on Friday that said: "To be clear, at no time were our crews 'turned away' from the utility in Seaside Heights."

Ok Katie, Charles and Jp....y'all are the true example ignorance. Y'all can not even do just a little research for yourselves. You are nothing more than a bunch of mindless followers like Neal Barton of a party so filled with hate for American workers and American citizens. Even Gov. Chris Christie knows when to lie and when to tell the truth, "the Alabama crew got "bad information" & non-union crews are welcomed in the recovery effort".

IBEW President Ed Hill said in Washington, "It is the policy of this union and the companies we represent to welcome assistance during major natural disasters — regardless of union status."
Ron Morano, a spokesman for Jersey Central Power & Light, which serves Seaside Heights, said non-union crews are helping restore power, and the union knows it is all hands on deck.
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said the Alabama crew got "bad information" & non-union crews are welcomed in the recovery effort.

There you have it Neal, right from the horses mouth, the mouth of the crew manager himself. Ray Hardin, general manager of Decatur Utilities.

Ray Hardin, general manager of Decatur Utilities, said a 6 member crew left Wednesday for Seaside Heights, N.J. It got as far as a staging are in Roanoke, Va., where it waited for clarification of documents.
While waiting for clarification, Decatur Utilities learned Seaside Heights had received the assistance it needed. Decatur Utilities attempted to contact other areas that needed assistance, but decided Thursday to bring its crew home based on the uncertainty of union requirements, Hardin said

The Alabama crew will be criminalized for leaving and Cristi will be blamed for the things Mayor Doomberg fails to do.

I'd sooner help Moscow, Russia then NYC. The people are rude when you visit, all have an attitude like they are better, The mayor thinks Global Warming caused this to happen, which just shows you what his agenda is all about. If I thought any shred of science supported global warming and was in any way a contributing factor to this very typical for this time of year storm then, I'd charcoal-broil every meal with the hopes of clearing-out this nest of socialist-communist from our shores.

People. Take a good long look at this story. Is this the America that you want your children and grandchildren to grow up in? This is absolute insanity. Defies all words. BTW, Mayor Bloomberg is insane too. Telling Americans what they can and cannot do. Wise up NY. You should have voted this nut into Bellevue a long time ago.
