An update on Wednesday's POV.

We told you what a surprise, the director of the Congressional Budget Office said Tuesday that the health care reform legislation would cost, over the next ten years, $115 billion more than previously thought. Bringing the total cost to more than $1 trillion.

The reason, estimated costs to federal agencies to implement the new health care reform bill,  such as hiring more snoops for the IRS so they can make sure you're buying health care.

And my favorite---the Department of Health and Human Services, and the costs for a "variety of grant and other program spending for which specified funding levels for one or more years are provided in the act."

in other words, Congress can write a budget and then if they deem it a national emergency, they can spend more.

In other words...and this is an example.

The Danny Elzner School for Sportscasters gets 100K.

But wait, Danny needs a new table. Lets give him 200K.

Sound ridiculous.

It is.

But Congress is ridiculous.

As one congressman said during the health care fight, we don't go by rules...we just make all this up as we go along.

It must be fun to play with your money.

But this is the part that makes me crazy.

Senator Orrin hatch was on FOX News last night telling a host everyone knew the health care plan was going to cost more.

The Dems pushing this knew it all the time.

And Bill Clinton did not have sex with that woman.

Blah, blah, and blah, Mr. Barton. When it suits you to demonize "the media" (of which you are a prime part) you do not hesitate to do so. yet when "the media" reports something convenient, why, you simply accept it at face value. Do your homework, sir, and cut the childish, knee-jerk squealing.

Yeah, because we know if the story doesn't favor Obama, it must be inaccurate.

Your detractors can't or won't see the government is driven by the same greed of money and power as the businesses they so desire to demonize. They are so blinded by politics they can't see the liberal leaders, such as Obama and Pelosi, they so diefy aren't any better then those they abhor.

Well I certainly hope that the United States finds a more responsible road and right now is to get rid of some of these people that have lost their minds and our money.

You're right. The government has never come in on budget. Spending is all they know or practice and it is getting old in a hurry.

Congress is all about razzle dazzle of the populace while reaching into our wallets for more money. They love distracting us. No more.
