We've found oil again and lots of it.

This sort of report would have been trumpeted in the 60s and 70s, but now oil is so passe.

Who knows if we'll even try and retrieve it.

CNS news is reporting The Green River Formation, a largely vacant area of mostly federal land that covers the territory where Colorado, Utah and Wyoming come together, contains about as much recoverable oil as all the rest the world's proven reserves combined, an auditor from the Government Accountability Office told Congress on Thursday.

The GAO testimony said that the federal government was in "a unique position to influence the development of oil shale" because the Green River deposits were mostly beneath federal land.

Uh, oh. Look who owns it.

I've said before we'll be using oil and oil byproducts for the rest of my lifetime, but I bet this administration will never go after it. They are intent on weaning us from oil.

I say let's find a better way than oil, but right now we have nothing except gas prices that are still too high.

It make me crazy to see people happy with $3.49 a gallon prices. It also makes me crazy to know we'll never go after this oil.

Mr. President, please prove me wrong.

That's my point of view, what's yours?

Lol@Sheila, amen

Neal needs to get an education before he comments and shows his ignorance. The Green River Shale is at the surface and must be mined, then crushed, then heated, to extract the oil, a costly process whereas other shales lying deep under the earth's surface are subjected to heat and pressure and when fractured, the oil is forced into the fracture making it recoveranle by a well bore. True there is a great quanity of oil in the Green River, it just takes $200/Bbl. to make it economical.

This prez wants this nation defeated and subservient to mecca! He will do nothing that betters us and the more people who realize this, the better chance we have of surviving as a representative democracy.

Grow-up Rollinson, and put down the crak-pipe before you watch tv news.
