No, Mr. President. You can't

There was this meme going around during the election on Facebook which showed a picture of Barak Obama and a thought coming from his saying, "there are so many things I could do if this darn Constitution was not in the way."

Right now, you may be welling up with anger about what I'm saying, but yesterday, his aides tried to make him dictator again.

This is from Reuters.

The Obama administration's opening bid on Thursday in negotiations to avert a year-end fiscal crunch included a demand for new stimulus spending and authority to unilaterally raise the U.S. borrowing ceiling, a Republican congressional aide said.

The proposal, made by Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner to congressional Republican leaders on Capitol Hill was seen as offering little the Republicans could agree to and was actually laughed at by Republicans.

"We can't move any closer to them because they're not even on our planet," the republican aide said. "It was not a serious proposal."

it's not a legal proposal.

Yeah , let's just let the president control the money room like in Las Vegas.

Obama's negotiators sought the ability to raise the nation's borrowing limit unilaterally.

That means whenever they want to without any approval from Congress or anyone. Can you imagine the outcry if Bush proposed this?

Currently, Congress must approve an increase in the debt ceiling, just in case you slept through civics.

That's my point of view, what's yours?

ANSWER THIS JP.
IF CORPORATE CEOs, CFOs and MANAGERS NEGOTIATE CONTRACTS FOR MILLIONS IN BENEFITS AND WAGES, THEN WHY SHOULDN'T THE WORKERS ON THE FRONT LINE?

Neal would do a better job at being a Fiction Novel aurthor than what he has chosen for a career.

There are 3 problems with your story Neal. #1. This is from Reuters. is not a non-partisan source of information & not creditable. #2. a Republican congressional aide said. No name of the aide or the Congressman means you have something to hide, if you are being honest you would provide the names so others could check out your claim. #3. The GOP are not even on our planet because the voters have spoken and the majority of the US Citizens agree and the GOP are ignoring what they have said.

And to think that a union wants to kill American jobs is just pure STUPIDITY, Unions would be killing themselves if they were in the business of killing jobs. It is the non union workers and Corporations who are the job killers in America for cheap labor in foreign nations. They are driving down wages in America. These corp. are Anti American and Anti American worker. Guess we should all work for the same 97 cents an hr. the China workers do or less, right jp?

jp is also in favor of a "RIGHT TO WORK FOR LESS " POLICY FOR AMERICAN WORKERS.
If you are an American worker according to Charles, JP and Sparrow and you expect to be paid more than .97 cents per hour and Benefits, you are Un-American because you are killing American Corporations and American JOBS !!

Yes, I am a right to work for less. If the moron is worth $2.00 an hour, he should get $2.00 an hour. if they are worth 10 they should get 10. Not 7.25 because you have to pay the moron 2. I got to tour the Ford Rouge River plant and saw a worker getting pain17+ an hour doing a job a trained monkey could have done. We're having to under pay our good workers because we're over paying the useless ones. And yes don there are plenty of them. Your idiot union ideology blinds you to them.

JP is also for our tax dollars subsidizing corporations with welfare for their workers that they do not want to pay because companies should be able to keep workers in poverty so they can be controlled. Just look at history and the American workers when companies employeed low wage workers, rented them a company house and required the workers to buy from the company owned store and if you did not do what you were told legal or illegal you & the family were put out in the cold. SLAVERY

You could put a trained monkey in a suit too. Jp supports allowing CEOs & CFOs millions in salaries, benefits & bonuses even when the company is a failure. Hostess is a prime example, 2 years ago workers took huge pay cuts and benefit cuts & the company increased benefits and salaries for the management who had already driven the Co into bankruptcy once. Then they try to blame the workers for the failures of management who still walked away with millions.

Jp is against the idea of a government where the majority rules. He favors a government where the minority of voters with the majority of the income dictates to everyone else, (the GOP plan).

It's alright if he assumes dictatorial powers just so long as he's a democrat. God forbid if he allows civil rights and freedom. Afterall, he was re-elected because people gather to those who tell them they are too stupid and incompetent to care for themselves. That's why the join unions and vote democrat. They don't want to be responsible for themselves, they are victims. That's what the OWS movement was all about.

Is that why Texas joined the UNION?

Economy Statistics > Percent below poverty level (most recent) by state
# 47 New Jersey: of 50 states. WOW ONLY 3 STATES BETTER OFF THAN NEW JERSEY A UNION STATE and Texas is NOT one of them. GUESS THOSE UNION JOBS MAKE THE ECONOMY IN NJ MUCH BETTER AND THE NON UNION JOBS HAVE MADE THE ECONOMY WORSE IN ALABAMA A RIGHT TO WORK FOR LESS STATE

IF CORPORATE CEOs, CFOs and MANAGERS NEGOTIATE CONTRACTS FOR MILLIONS IN BENEFITS AND WAGES WHY SHOULDN'T THE WORKERS ON THE FRONT LINE?

Yup, the GOP wants to redistribute the wealth by taking the elderly's money and giving it to those who earn $250K + a year. This is why the GOP lost their bid for the WH and several seats in the House & Senate. If they keep this up, there will be no GOP after the mid term election with the only exception of elected officials from Texas. Texans who vote GOP will do so no matter who it is or what their record is, even if it is Lucifer himself.

GOP issues a new 'fiscal cliff' offer to Obama
By ANDREW TAYLOR, Associated Press | December 3, 2012
House Republicans on Monday proposed a new 10-year, $2.2 trillion blueprint that calls for raising the eligibility age for Medicare and lowering cost-of-living hikes for Social Security benefits. The GOP plan also proposes to raise $800 billion in higher tax revenue over the decade but it would keep the Bush-era tax cuts — including those for wealthier earners.

Our President wants more money from the rich folks? If HE insures there is no deal on the cliff, Taxes on EVERYONE will go up. He can blame it on the Republicans or Congress as a whole, it won't matter who gets blamed just as long as he has the bucks rolling in.

The Economy? Not his concern.

Neal,
I believe that what we need to do is let the Democrats increase the tax on the wealth 1.6 trillion, and at the same time demand dollar for dollar a 1.6 trillion dollar reduction in entitlements over the next 10 years. The law needs to be written in a way that no matter who is elected president or for congress in the next 10 years can alter it in any way. We can't give the president the power to increase the debt ceiling without congress' approval, no matter what party is in office.
Randy H

Right on Katie.

But when a true fiscally responsible candidate with over thirty years of demonstrated integrity toward our constitution was in the running for president, Neal and this media outlet said he was a kook. Neal, neither you or KETK has any integrity to label any politician. You are as they say, full of it.

When will America awaken from her stupor and realize there is an enemy in the WH and he means to finish America off. Literally and in every way. This is the second wave of 911.

AMEN!
