Tyler (KETK) — It's all over the news. I grabbed this from the Daily Caller which snagged it from the Free Beacon.
Attorney General Eric Holder wants to explore "common sense" gun reforms, like mandating that gun owners would have to wear bracelets before they could activate their firearms.
Holder made his remarks while testifying before a U.S. House of Representatives appropriations committee on Friday. He acknowledged the existence of the Second Amendment, which gives people the unqualified right to own and carry weapons, but nevertheless expressed support for several gun control measures that he described as "common sense reforms."
A smart gun requires the shooter to be wearing a bracelet or watch with an RFID chip that communicates with the gun and allows it to fire.which means your friend could not shoot your gun if you were at the range. Or you don't think they could just "turn off" the firearm's abiity to fire, do you?
Maybe we can have an Obamacare-like smart gun registry to make sure the bracelet is "on-line." What I think this is all about is you can have your guns, they just won't fire.
This is from the same folks who told you if you like your doctor, you can keep'em."
No thanks, Eric.
That's my point of view, what's yours?
