Obama responsible for everything?

POV

President Obama recently turned heads when he said this during a speech:

"If you've been successful, you didn't get there on your own. You didn't get there on your own. I'm always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something - there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there."

Yes, there are. But, does this send a message where the president is really going with all this?

Not everyone succeeds, but, we have the right to pursue life, liberty and happiness.

Just the right to pursue. It doesn't mean we will get there.

Yes, Mr. President, we breath the same air and teachers taught us whet we know, but then there is the next dimension of doing something with it.

I don't know why he is so jealous of people who have made it. He's made it.

He went on to say If you've got a business, you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen.

Tell that to all the business owners here in East Texas not buying their family things to make a payroll.

Tell that to business owners here who didn't sleep last night wondering how they are going to make payroll because they've made a huge risk by starting and growing a business.

Tell that to successful people who bet the farm that they would succeed and they did after enormous sacrifice. Those people are winners.

And let me ask you this, when your small business goes belly up because everyone is so scared to buy anything because of whats going on in Washington D.C., guess who's got your back--- no one.

No one!

I guess the president has a hard time recognizing winners since he keeps betting on losers like Solyndra.

That's my point of view, what's yours?

His comments lately are embarrassing and shameful. Just like this comment, in his latest attack add on Gov. Romney, he is now blaming the rich for the problems of the world. How quickly he turns the truth inside out. These problems actually started when credit was over-extended to people who could not afford to pay it back, whether rich or poor. The biggest examples were Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, I believe actually created under Pres. Clinton, as well as high limit consumer credit cards.

So sweet aaronb1 listens to faux news, billious rush, vile beck, et al, for his info regarding the state of politics these days...what a miserable world aaronb1 and all others like him/her would have us live in...one word of enlightenment...if, by disastrous chance, willard mitt became POTUS aaronb1, you will still be a middle class working stiff (with higher taxes, guaranteed!) or on your way to POOR. Good luck with that! OBAMA 11/6/12!

I must be on the right track then, because I haven't listened to those guys in years. But should we trust anyone who makes public comments that purposely separate us according to income, or who only says what he thinks people want to hear, or who bullies the judicial system, or when they come to an Army base after a tragedy, where my family served, to only make a personal photo appearance and then quickly leave without talking to the injured? We must find a better President than that.

President Obama will be re elected 11/6/2012. He is not affected by the hatred dribbled out by East Texans who are so afraid of someone of color...if all of you were honest you'd admit your bias. The concern is to what length of action (violence or some other action?) you will entertain when he is elected in November? Willard mitt is a dangerous, elitist. flip flopping liar...is this the kind of miserable excuse of a man you want as POTUS? Not me! OBAMA 11/6/2012!

Come on don't be so dramatic. Our President can't be responsible for everything. Look who he replaced.

Don't be so dramatic. Our president can't be responsible for everything. Let's don't forget who he replaced.

It is "We the people" that the Executive, Judicial, Legislative get their powers. Without our sweat equity Th they (the ones we placed in power) have nothing. Cut off our money and we will see just how far they will get. We are living Ayn Rand's book, "ATLAS SHRUGGED." I doubt Obama even knows John Galt.

It is a FACT that successful people didn't get where they are on their own. They had help somewhere along the way from someone, some business, some bank, some teacher, some school some government program, some family member or some mentor.....that is a FACT of life

Don, if you are going to use that line of reasoning, GOD trumps all. Without God, nothing is possible. Now, to respond to the pompous statements made by the current POTUS, let's make it clear. He has NEVER had a real job in his life. Being a dope-smoking college student and a community organizer is not work. Being a politician certainly isn't work. He has not a clue about how small business starts, much less how small businesses becomes large businesses. I know who built MY business...

Mreman, I do not know what kind of business you have so I can not comment on how hard you have worked but I can state this for a FACT, being a community organizer is hard work. If you don;t think so just go ask the preacher at any church in tyler, they are community organizers. Ask any person who assist at any food pantry or soup kitchen just how hard they work. They are community organizers. You could also ask any teacher who assist adults obtain their GED just how hard they work.

And yes Mreman, you did not build your business without the help of GOD either. You could not have built your business without the help of a government paid employee that it appears you think you are better than or a Government service either Mreman. Why don't you tell us just what kind of business you have so we can judge for ourselves how hard you have worked or not worked, Mreman?

The clown is so much the marxist. This is just one more example that he does not understand the free market and why he's been such a failure at turning the economy around. As to the premiss of the headline, no he's not responsible for everything. He stepped into a broken system (sorry, not broken but badly misguided) aided by those in the Senate and House that wholeheartedly trust in those same bad ideals and conservatives that won't stand behind their stated ideals
