Neal Barton's POV

Obama's big problem

During the last year, we have heard all the wise men on the left and right tell the Republican Party if they don't do this amnesty thing, they would be in big trouble.

Even media gadfly Karl Rove has played this trumpet until his face was red. Then the current immigration crisis happened.

Neil Munroe has an interesting piece in today's Daily Caller.

Here is what it says:

Only 28 percent of swing-voting independents support President Barack Obama's immigration policies, while 59 percent oppose those policies, according to a new CBS poll, which also shows that GOP voters think immigration is a more important issue than Obamacare.

That's a big problem for Obama, as he heads into a critical election season while promising to impose an unprecedented national amnesty for several million illegals, in the face of opposition from Congress.

Munroe writes GOP-leaning supporters already oppose his immigration policy, by 85 percent to 7 seven percent, while Democrats are split, with 33 percent disapproving and 56 approving of his immigration policies, said the poll of Americans, not voters.

Overall, Americans disapprove of his immigration policies by 57 to 31 percent. That's much worse than his overall rating, which showed 40 percent approval, and 54 percent disapproval, said CBS.

So, once again, the wise men in Washington are so disconnected from the rest of the country-- living in their vacuum.

Doesn't this surprise you? Not me.

That's my point of view, what's yours?

dave.. oh yes Republicans are going to gain seats at the mid-terms.

It's a-comming folks.

Maybe these political hacks should ask the question. Is abortion popular in Mexico and Guatemala? Is there a big push for gay marriage in any of these Hispanic speaking countries? Are blacks and native people discriminated against in these countries? Perhaps understanding the answers to these questions would help these idiots understand the folly of trying to force a change from red state to blue through "immigration reform".

Not only is Rove clueless about what working class republicans value and believe. The democrats are just as clueless in regard to what Mexicans and Central Americans value.

Republicans actually believe they're going to gain seats this election. But when pressed to list their accomplishments of the last 6 years all they can say is "we opposed everything". The Canadian seems reluctant to admit his part in shutting down the government, and holding the world financial markets hostage.

Obama, Reid, Pelosi are just using this inflow to demonize the GOP as racist white men counting on Hispanics to buy it hook line and sinker. And then there's the stupid argument "we're all immigrants". He, Reid, Pelosi are going to let the illegals suffer with the false hope of amnesty but won't give them amnesty unless he thinks it's the only way to win. Even if he got the money he wants, it won't go to solving the problem but to building more unending gov't.

A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
"Keep ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden doo

It's true. Now days I talk to ex-Obama supporters all the time and they are real unhappy with him. They are embarrassed they even voted for him.

No doubt the Republicans can tie the Obama tin-can to Democrats coattails and bring them down for their lock-step support of him.

And mid-term elections are real close, just a few months away!

anyone who has to began a statement by saying"It's true" is more than likely ,(99.9% of the time) is telling a lie

January 26, 2014.Food stamp use is now highest among working Americans, according to government statistics. This is the first time this specific group has had majority use of food stamps in U.S. history.
Because of corporations with record profits use tax payers to supplement their employees so they can put more profits in their pockets & in foreign banks. But that is Obamas fault not Corporations right deaf?
It is not the fault of the republatards in congress that refuse to increase min. wages

Obama's big problem is the DO NOTHING REPUBLICAN / T-IDIOT HOUSE OF CONGRESS who refuse to pass any law to stop illegal immigration and hire 20 thousand more Border patrol and mandate all U S businesses to use E-Verify. There has been a bill in the republican house for more than a year to do just that but republican / t-idiots REFUSE TO EVEN CONSIDER THE BIPARTISAN BILL. VOTE THESE IDIOT REPUBLICANS OUT OF OFFICE HOPE & CHANGE 2014

Title III, Interior Enforcement addresses E-Verify. There is one thing in the bill deaf that Rick Perry is against, said he would veto any legislation that required businesses to us E-Verify. Then we have Gregg Abbott who should be impeached for not doing his job enforcing Texas & U.S. labor laws. Guess it is ok with you for republatards to pick & chose what laws they will enforce right deaf?

Jun 27, 2013 ยท WASHINGTON -- The Senate passed a politically fraught immigration reform bill on Thursday The bill passed 68 to 32, picking up all Democrats and 14 Republicans.Senators in the bipartisan "gang of eight" that drafted the bill -- Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz.), Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) and Michael Bennet (D-Colo.) -- patted each other on the back.

Are you talking about the illegal immigrants who are currently serving in our military and those who have served in our military protecting our nation?

what millions of illegals neal? Are you talking about the children who were brought here illegaly by no choice of their own when they were 2 months old and now are 17, 18 and 19 years old?
