TYLER, TX --- It was nice today to take off my heavy coat and enjoy some of the global warming that made things so pleasant today.
What a week of weather it has been.
New york city got shellacked..and when you get almost 2 feet of snow in a big city like that...you have problems..and they did.
But, hey...almost 2 feet.
Washington dc was hammered with about a foot.
And while all this global warming was going on..Also this week we find out that the himalayan glacier are actually growing.
More on that from this from the washington times.
The pseudo-scientific doomsayers at the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) have stuck to their story that global warming is real, despite numerous flaws uncovered in the group's research. One of the most embarrassing of these revelations was the sourcing of the 2007 IPCC report claim that the Himalayan glaciers were melting. The idea that these imposing blocks of ice would completely disappear by the year 2035 fed a breathless media hysteria preaching impending doom. It turns out this conclusion was based not on a peer-reviewed study but on a press release by the WWF, a left-wing activist group. Nonetheless, the IPCC reaffirmed its commitment to the melting story last January as "robust, appropriate and entirely consistent with the underlying science."
The glaciers, however, stubbornly refuse to melt on cue.
I'm going to enjoy the nice weather on saturday..before more global warming hits us on tuesday.
That's my point of view..what's yours?

Global Warming is a misnomer, it should be called Climate Change. If this winter hasn't opened your eyes, I don't know what will.
The nit-wit public that bought into the Al Gore idea of Global warming are the same nit-wits that believed him when he promised that our Social Security money was going into a lock box. All Global warming is, is another scheme to tax the people and get into their pocketbooks to pay for their failed Liberal Progressive Social Experiments gtone broke.
My first obsevations of pseudo-science spewing from Washington was while attending college. Grants were awarded to those science departments that all but promised the outcome desired before any research was conducted. Government science is more about bribery than science. When Universities could not ethically provide these altered outcomes the government formed angencies to ruber-stamp the desired result as authentic. Hence we have the EPA and the shoddy science of global warming carbon dioxide.
It's a no-brainer that cigarette smoking is terrible for your health. When the insurance lobby persuaded Washington to pass legislation against smoking a dilema arose over personal liberties. In came the EPA with a study showing the ill effects of second-hand cigarette smoke. This study, though flawed with inconsistency, became the basis by which cigarettes are banned in public. Soon the FDA will deem sugar a carcinogen as insurance companies attack obesity and it's effect on profit margins.
