Tyler (KETK) — Ill bet the president is reminiscing about the good old days. Like last week, when the VA hospitals were on the front page and his supporters were still trying to blame Bush.
I'd love to be a fly on the wall right now in the oval office. I'm sure they thought it was supposed to be a glowing moment which has turned into a sand storm. I cleaned that up for TV.
Now. we're are finding the kids who served with Bowe Bergdahl are speaking out about what really happened in his disappearance. They claim he wasn't captured. He sent his stuff home and walked off. Reports state people died looking for him.
Our so-called hero, who was just rescued, may have a long row to hoe. If he is found to have deserted, his general will have to order court martial proceedings. In the meantime, Jeffery Toobin, the CNN legal analyst, will never get a free dinner or drink in New York City or D.C.
He actually went on TV this week and told Wolf Blitzer the president broke the law in not notifying Congress he was ordering a trade.
Blitzer-- horrified --even gave his comrade a moment to take it all back. Toobin stood by his comments,. This may all get more complicated.
It looks as if we traded the baddest of the bad terrorists for what could be NOT a pow but a deserter.
I've gone back and looked, and as always, the UK Mail does a better job of American journalism than the New York Times or Washington Post.
They reported years ago, Bergdahl had changed his name to Abdullah and had been teaching our enemies in Afghanistan how to make bombs to use against us.
So, just who on the presidents staff allowed him to get out there and hug everyone and announce this trade as good news?
That's my point of view, what's yours?
