tyler — I don't see why people waste their time watching wrestling when they can watch politics instead.

Especially politics on the national level where it really gets nasty.

Now we are going through what I will call the Newt Gingrich Chronicles.

One network will be giving one of Newts exes her "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned moment."

We can see what is going on..

One national network lets us hear what many of us have heard before-- that newt Gingrich is one driven
son of a gun who has a Machiavellian streak.

In D.C., he fits in with most of them.

Today a tease from the interview reveals that according to the former Mrs. Gingrich, Newt wanted an open marriage. In other words, stay married, but have other kept women on the side.

Now, we'll hear from hand-wringers about what a low-down dirty dog Newt is.

But, let's go back to the Clinton years. Remember that?

I watched all the Sunday talk shows in the 90s when that saga was going on, I heard several pundits and some who were women say, "those men who are in power are men of gigantic appetites. That's life. In Europe this would not matter."

They did. that was the first time I heard the network folks all wanting us to be like Europe.

Everyone was cool with that because they liked Clinton's politics.

I had a friend of mine who was involved in national Democratic politics at the time and he used to lecture me, "Neal, everyone does it. It's a personal matter, drop it."

Well, Newt's kids are ok with his past. I'm sure his ex-wife is not.

Am i surprised? No.

But, I find it strange that a soap in the 90s was growing pains for the nation.

This soap opera is a scandal.
