Shocker: Health care bill costs more

POV

From the knock me over with a feather department-CNN reports this:

Guess what?

health care is going to cost more than what congress promised.

In fact, double in some cases.

Pelosi said we have to pass it to see what's in it.

And they sold America a pig-in-a-poke.

They knew it the whole time.

A CBO report sent Tuesday to Rep. Jerry Lewis of California, the ranking Republican on the House Appropriations Committee, said the estimated rise in discretionary spending, which is spending requiring annual congressional authorization, over the first 10 years under the new legislation could exceed $115 billion.

On March 11, exactly two months earlier, the non-partisan CBO reported the estimated increase for discretionary spending could exceed $55 billion.

Amen Katie007. Love your comments.

C'mon Mr. Barton...how soon you forget the doubly conflated "figures" published by the Bush administration about the costs of the prescription provision to Medicare. They said it would cost over a trillion dollars when in fact it has come in way under budget. It's simple...every other developed country has managed to have better health care and for less money than we have. And this reveals us to be..STUPID.

GIVE HONEST FACTS MR. FARTON, THE REPORT SAID "COULD" COST MORE. THAT DOES NOT MEAN IT WILL. ANY EDUCATED PERSON WOULD KNOW THAT.

This healthcare bill is destined to become the most expensive hydra in United States history and is completely unsustainable.

I really laughed at the reference to John McCain being like Malcolm in the Middle. Perfect description of him, priceless.

So, the U.N. is angry at Arizona are they? Congratulation to Arizona, they must be on the right track if the U.N. is after them. Nothing makes my day more than for this useless organization to be angry.
