This weekend President Obama announced he is running for president again.

I heard this while driving through deep East Texas this weekend. As I'm listening to the radio newscasters voice I kept reading signs along U.S. 69 from Lufkin to Alto to Rusk to Bullard- gasoline $3.48 a gallon. Gasoline $3.54 a gallon. And diesel, don't get me started.

While I had some time time to think, I remember when George W. Bush was president, when he left office gas was $1.80 something a gallon.

Remember back when he was president and gas was where it is now? The national press ate him alive. He was in with the oil barons and taking money away from working families. What do you hear right now? Crickets.

Remember when with U.N. approval and with an ok from Congress about war they still ate him alive?

Although I have no problem with sending a missile Kadafy's way, there is no media outcry about Obama being a war monger.

Remember the Abu Ghraibpictures? All the chattering class in D.C. agog at the abuse by the military. Now these new pictures of what's going on are reportedly worse- nothing.

No comment.

Reported today, 858 soldiers killed in Afghanistan.. More killed on Obama's watch than Bush.

Nothing.

And remember trying the 9/11 trial the left wanted in new York?

Obama today, 180 turnaround.

Trial will be at Gitmo where the conservatives wanted it. No mention of the 180. And wasn't Gitmo supposed to be closed by now?

Congratulations Mr. president on your announcing to run again.

This time you'll find it a whole lot easier with the national press corp pulling for you.
