Neal Barton's POV

We need answers

CNS News is reporting today police departments, all across the country, are having trouble finding ammunition. According to reports, they are having to barter with other departments to get ammo. They are having to find other ways to train and use their bullets more wisely.

So, why is there still an ammo shortage?

We have reported before that the Department of Homeland Security has ordered 1.6 billion rounds of ammo, many of that hollow points.

The Department of Homeland Security will not answer questions why they are buying and hoarding so much ammo. Ammo enough to fight wars for the next 20 plus years, according to some.

Now, 15 congressmen have written letters to the feds asking, what's up? American people are being denied ammo for their guns.

Hmmmmm.

"They have no answer for that question. They refuse to answer that," Congressman Timothy Huelscamp told We Are Change reporters earlier this week, adding, "They refuse to let us know what is going on, so I don't really have an answer for that. Multiple members of Congress are asking those questions."

Huelscamp promised to keep asking and even threatened to back a move to defund the agency if answers were not forthcoming.

Last Friday, New Jersey Congressman Leonard Lance also indicated that he would pursue an explanation as to why the DHS is engaging in an apparent arms build-up.

Fact or fiction. We need to know.

So much for the most transparent administration of all time.

That's my point of view, what's yours?

I must not be that stupid, a majority of Americans agree with my political point of view than agree with yours. Guess that makes me a lot smarter than you and I know for a Fact that I am much more a patriot than you are. H3ll, you are not even man enough or smart enough to become a civil servent and risk your life every day to protect your fellow citizens.

Why is this story not BLAZING HEADLINES. I heard a phrase once. ..."Government for the people, by the people"...Raise an outcry so loud that these underhanded violators of the Constitution must respond ..."To the people". The real homeland security of our nation is the armed citizens. MAKE EM ANSWER US.

BECAUSE Rataphooey, media is not independent of government. How could you have thought otherwise after watching what happened to Ron Paul?

The FACT of the matter Charlie is that during the Iraq war there was a shortage in ammo and local law enforcement officers had a hard time getting ammo to qualify during annual training because of the shortage. Could be, the Government is buying up ammo so they would not be in a bad situation if the homeland was attacked and they did not have enough ammo to defend it. If the Govt manufactured their own again they & we would save $$$. STOP these CONTRACTS with private companies that are costing $

There you go again - using your brain for a door-stop. You said; "Government is buying up ammo so they would not be in a bad situation if the homeland was attacked and they did not have enough ammo to defend it." So why would anyone attack this nation with blood and bullets when you can just walk in and get paid to do it? We've already been taken-over, Homeland Security is about keeping us from taking it back.

There you go not using your Brain at all, If the government manufactured all of their own ammo then the private sector manufactures of amm would have plenty to sell to the public and the government would not have a need to buy any ammo and we the people would save tax dollars.

It's the craze to outsource everything. Although it might save a few cents in the beginning, it typically ends up costing more and there's no one accountable.

Tinks, you and Don should room together. Both of you failed to understand the significance of Homeland Security "buying-up" the ammo, and you both stupidly display your naivety with an "outsourcing" excuse. We'll know where to find you guys when the fight starts, under a rock !

Hey Chuck, you are so correct. Tell your wife Katie "hello" for us.
And that's not to mention the blacks and the Jews.

struck a nerve, did I ? How funny~

It's entirely predictable that conservatives like to pull out the ole "ad hominem" personal attacks during any type of exchange. If you didnot support the war in Iraq, you were labeled "unpatriotic" at best but more likely a communist who hated America. (Now, you would just be called "correct"). The only thing more predictable than conservatives attacking someone personally b/c they don't like their arguments is using straw man arguments, following closely by invoking Ronald Regan's name.

Go with your gut feeling Neal. I think, though most of us don't want to admit it, that a takeover of our system of government is on the horizon. The feds refusal of an answer, is an answer. I pray I am wrong, but I don't think so. When I see collectively the decisions Obama is making, I tremble for my country.

Katie, I hate to keep reminding you, but this country hasn't been our country for some time, long before Obama was made our president. Look what Reagan did to the south with cheap Saudi oil and the Resolution Trust Corp. or see what CIA George did to make the US the world's drug smugglers, or Clinton and his open borders that allowed Soviet block Jews to bankrupt Social Security as refugees, not to mention the media monopoly, or Bush jr. and the federal reserve, all sell-outs, all anti-American.

Don... you have it backwards.

For the government to manufacture the ammo would require a bureaucracy that would raise the cost.

Notice from WW2 till now we used PRIVATE business to manufacture our tanks, planes, ships, guns, etc... for the reason they make superior products cheaper due to competition for bids. Having the government make them would end up with third rate gear. NOTHING the military uses IS made by the government because of that.

Before and during WW II the Armed forces manufactured its own ammo and there was never a shortage for our military or the private sector. Sure there are some things that the private sector can do and does do better than the government but manufacturing ammo for government agencies is not one of them.
It would NOT require a bureaucracy for the Government to manufacture the ammo when it is done by the military.

Napolitano would not answer because...

1. She would have to admit they were trying gun control by drying up the ammo supply for everyone else (and at tax payers expense!!) This would be need since Fast-n-Furious as well as the mass shootings (even NYPD mass shootings) failed to get congress to ban guns.

2. And she would have to explain they also bought over 1200 armored cars to control the populace once riots start over the economy when we start confiscating peoples saving.

Hope&Change!

This is what happens when you privatize a government function. IT COST TAXPAYERS MORE AND THE PRODUCT IS LESS QUALITY THAN WHAT THE GOVERNMENT PRODUCED. The U. S. Government use to manufacture their own ammunition and now they buy it from a private contractor. If the U.S. Government started producing their own ammo again local law enforcements could buy from the U. S. Government and would not have to barter with other departments to get ammo. Taxpayers could save millions if not Billions.

Don, I've decided your brain is on crutches. The point is being made that Homeland Security is denying the American citizen ammunition to their firearms by placing orders for such large volumes. Your comment furthers the idea that this is a planned objective of the government to override the second amendment. All those years as a civil servant didn't help your cognitive thought.

Your brainpan must reek of fried eggs ! Look dumber than dirt Don, just 'cause media prints it, that's not to say it's fact. I read the article you're talking about and having been involved in a way I don't want to reveal, I no more believed the article then I believe in this nation is a democracy. I've read your many stupid comments and I know you to stuck in first grade geopolitical thought; frozen in the media conversation of left and right, democrat, republican. A controlled conversation.

Narcissistic personality disorder is a pervasive disorder characterized by self-centeredness, and an exaggerated sense of self-importance. As with other personality disorders, this disorder is an enduring and persistent pattern of behavior that negatively impacts many different life areas including social, family, work relationships, and computer comment sites . Don, the doctor will see you now.

You need to read what you wrote and then go look in the mirror Charline
