Tyler, Texas (KETK) — I'm sorry but I have to re-visit this from Thursday.
"A group of climate change scientists were rescued by helicopter January 2, after being stranded in the ice since Christmas morning." But, the majority of the media reports about the ice-locked climate researchers never mentioned climate change.
The Russian ship was stranded in the ice while on a climate change research expedition, yet nearly 98 percent of network news reports about the stranded researchers failed to mention their mission at all. 40 out of 41 stories (97.5 percent) on the network morning and evening news shows since December 25 failed to mention climate change had anything to do with the expedition.
In fact, rather than point out the mission was to find evidence of climate change, the networks often referred to the stranded people as "passengers," "trackers" and even "tourists," without a word about climate change or global warming.
We told you the global warming ship was rescued by another ship. Now, it looks as if the rescue ship is stuck in ice.
You cannot make this up. Look at the all the global warming taking place in the east right now.
Here are some headlines from today:
"MINNESOTA WORST DEEP FREEZE IN 20 YEARS"
"WIND CHILLS MAY HIT -50°"
"BLAST: UP TO 30" OF SNOW IN NEW ENGLAND"
"NYC MAYOR: 'TOO COLD FOR SCHOOL"
- "AMERICANS SPENT $7.45 BILLION FIGHTING 'GLOBAL WARMING' -- IN OTHER COUNTRIES"
And let me end by saying you know who back in the fall said this would be an extremely cold winter here and across the country? KETK's Scott Chesner.
He's simply the best.
That's my point of view, what's yours?
