Tyler, Texas (KETK) — Let's talk about the so-called "war on women."
From what I've seen this past two weeks, Gloria Allread should be screaming along with many other involved in women's rights.
You have an ex-congressman, mayoral wanna-be sending lewd pictures and lying about it. Then, caught lying about it again.
Then, to me, the granddaddy of them all, is what is going on in San Diego.
You got a mayor there that has been charged with doing things to women and saying things to women I can't even say on tv.
Then, he says he's sorry and will go into treatment.
Funny thing is, he cannot now even be in a room with a woman alone after all these charges and now he wants the taxpayers to pay for his therapy.
But, despite eight or nine women coming forward with allegations, he still wants to be in office.
And, you ain't heard nothing yet.
Instead of all the women's groups and liberals wanting him thrown out on his ear, he's getting a pass.
Because, he votes left.
Read this, from Weasel Zippers, a news source named correctly for this segemnt:
"Francine Busby, Chair of that San Diego Democrat Party, told the New York Times that the party was giving Mayor Filner the "benefit of doubt" because they were so excited to have someone in office pushing a progressive agenda."
"Democrats aren't going to give him a pass, but may be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt because we've waited so long, nearly 20 years, for a mayor who could put forward a progressive agenda," she said.
"But this doesn't erase what he's done," she said. "I don't know if it's enough at this point."
(Translation: Close your eyes and think of San Diego.)
This is hypocrisy.
That's my point of view, what's yours?
