What's behind this immigration deal?

Tyler (KETK) — The new White House press secretary warns us the president is growing impatient with Cngress. It all boils down to Congress won't cave on immigration. The Senate may, but the house wont...yet.
We are being warned again, the president is frustrated and wants something to be done. Never mind this whole ordeal needs to be hammered out in Congress, but this administration just wants to go around the law and do what they want to do.
The willing stenographers in the national media, who have placed their copy of the constitution on the back of their desks the last six years, sit there like catatonic figurines.
I think this influx of illegal visitors is a planned strategy. I think our leaders in D.C. will just shake their heads and say too many people to deal with and the president will take out his mighty pen and just sign an executive order saying they have to stay here.
I dearly hope I am wrong, but look at the dynamics of the entire game. They've overwhelmed the immigration system. They'll tell us we have to do something and some idiot Republicans will play along.
That's my point of view, what's yours?
