The Senate took at test vote on Monday and it looks like they ram-rodded the immigration bill.

The official vote will not be until later on this week.

I cannot believe the back and forth and the outright mistruths that are being spread to get this bill through as fast as they can.

What is the rush?

It's like "Obamacare."

I fear we are on the verge of making a huge mistake.

We're hearing, "don't worry the border fence will be built first and we'll end in 20,000 more border agents."

But, those agents won't be hired for four more years.

Napalitano can still do whatever she wants to about the fence. She's got three more years and then, remember, no Congress can be bound
by the past Congress.

There are many who will be hurt if the House goes along with the Senate immigration bill, such as young folks who are just getting a toe-hold in the job food chain.

I trust what Ted Cruz is saying, so far.

He has not disappointed me like John McCain has.

He says there is a $5,000 tax incentive for employers to not hire people who have been here illegally.

The new Americans will not have to have "Obamacare" for years and so a businessman or woman can really save some bucks.

Say you have 100 employees who are hear legally, you can fire them all and hire illegals and save yourself $500,000.

This bill is full of holes like that.

Our problem starts with the border.

I'm wary of all these grroms wanting to get the the alter to quickly.

That's my point of view, what's yours?

After all the fantastic successes of our government in the past one would expect continued excellence in this debacle.

By design current day legislation is impossible to read and understand as it is tied by citations to pre-existing legislation and code. Try reading the Healthcare Affordability Act sometime and you'll see it would take a staff many months to research the applicability of the hundreds of provisions. This design keeps the public in the dark as to what is in a particular bill, hence the Pelosi justification. More than reading the fine print, government puts one past us by pulling wool over our eyes

Texas has been controlled by big business for decades. I am a republican voter but the truth is, Republicans have consistently chosen what is good for their donors (big business). TXU and a Houston construction company seeking to win toll road contracts gave $2 million for Rick Perry's inaugural ball in 2007.
Jeb Hensarling took $20,000 dollars from Cash America for his 2012 run. Pay day loans aren't in the best interest of Texans. These guys vote for their donors not you. Throw the bums out!

It has been reported that hidden in this bill is 1.6 billion dollars to give free "Obama Cars and scooters " to low income people. What does this have to do with immigration, (amesity) bill? Who proposed this ammendment? Any body who pays taxes been given a new car? Surely, no one has offered me one. How about you?

If they did give you a scooter it would probably run like a FEMA response to Katrina. Slow and not much:)

So they try the old Pelosi "we have to vote on it to see what is in it" shtick.

God help us.
