Where is the transparency?

Remember when this administration was supposed to be the most transparent ever?

Remember when the president told us arguing bills would be on C-span. Well, where is that?

This from the American Standard:

In remarks on the Senate floor today, Alabama senator Jeff Sessions blasted President Barack Obama and congressional leadership for holding "secret" fiscal cliff negotiations.

Sessions points out "Over the last two years, Congress and the President have held an endless series of secret negotiations. There have been gangs of six and eight, a supercommittee of 12, talks at the Blair House and the White House. But the only thing these secret talks have produced is a government that skips from one crisis to the next. Everything has been tried but the open production of a 10-year budget plan as required by law and open discussions of the difficult choices."

Meanwhile, as the President demands more taxes, he refuses to do anything about government waste. Lavish conferences, duplicative programs, billions in refundable tax credits being mailed every year to illegal immigrants. No one is managing this government effectively. Why should the American people send one more dime in taxes to Washington when we won't reform and manage the money we are already getting from them?

Sessions makes a great point. I agree.

That's my point of view, what's yours?

As long as the FederalReserve is pumping 40 billion a month into the economy under the stimulus plan called "quantitative easing" then, what good does it do to talk about cutting spending, in fact, to cut spending would harm the economy under the FederalReserve plan. All the taxpayer needs to know is that taxes are going up dramatically on all of us, the "fiscal cliff" is but the showmanship of media that your congressman uses to secure his re-election.

He has no intention of having a budget or working with anyone. Then again all I see the Reps doing is rolling over, caving in. There is no longer character in Washington. So long as all of their nests are feathered courtesy of the U. S. taxpayer, then they care little about the working men and women who fund their lifestyles. Marie Antoinette once lived the life of luxury and we know what happened to her.
