tyler, tx — Okay.
Mitt Romney picks Paul Ryan to be his running mate.
Don't know how you feel about this, but I think it's a pretty good choice.
Many Dems think it's a good choice so they can demagogue retiree entitlments.
If you remember, Dems had the commercial with Ryan pushing granny over the cliff.
If I were a senior, and I can assure you every birthday I get closer and closer and would be stingy about my benefits I worked hard for too.
Yestersay at church, I was speaking to a lovely woman who is an older adult. She asked me if Romney wins, will my benefits ago away?
Nooooooo. No ones benefits are going away.
If you are 55 and older you get the same deal. And let me tell you what I told her.
If we don't get spending under control, there is going to be no money left for anyone.
You never hear where Obama cut 700 billion out of medicade?
Thats more than the Romney plan would.
You also hardly hear about stuff like this.
An intern program for the United States Department of Agriculture budgeted for $2 million. They hire one intern.
When I mention this to some of my more left-leaning friends, they shrug and say thats just how it works.
No. It doesn't have to. Washington D.C. has been run like a 1860s house of ill repute and thats what's wrong.
Even though a watchdog group caught the 9th district federal judges taking lavish vacations in Hawaii, a spokesperson for the judges said the trip was already booked and they would lose depodite money.
They would have lost $2,500.
Now they are going to Hawaii and party..er..pardon me...have continuing education.
Again, if you are 55 and older, no change with the Ryan plan.
Younger than 55---that will be hammered our with vouchers.
But again, if we don't fix this spending, your retirement home will be sitting in the woods.
Thats my point of view, what's yours?
