Severe weather has knocked out power in different areas of East Texas.

TXU Energy representative Charles Hill tells KETK about 3,300 customers are without power.

1,700 of the houses without power are in Jacksonville, 100 in south Tyler, 1,000 in Palestine and 25 in the Lufkin-Nacogdoches area.

Swepco reports the following outages: Smith County - 297 and Gregg County - 545.
