President Obama made a special trip to California to speak at back to back fundraising events.
The events were expected to raise more than$ 3.5 million for Senator Barbara Boxer's campaign, and the California DNC.
Senator Boxer has acknowledged this race could be the toughest she's faced, as polls show her in a dead heat with potential Republican opponents.
The president's endorsement speech was interrupted twice by audience members chanting for the repeal of the, "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy.
"I'm sorry, do you wanna come up here? You know, the... right. Because, can I just say once again, Barbara and I are supportive of repealing 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell', so I don't know why you're hollering."
Boxer is seeking her fourth term in the Senate.
