An explosives unit from Barksdale Air Force Base was called in Tuesday after a suspicious item resembling a pressure cooker was found outside a Marshall gas station — but authorities said all that was inside was grease.

Marshall police shut down East Pinecrest Drive and the surrounding plaza after receiving a call about a suspicious-looking item near a Dumpster at a Diamond Shamrock gas station.

Angela Roberts, owner and operator of East Texas Driving School, which is near the gas station, said someone from a nearby barber shop called police about the pressure cooker-like item.
