Psychologist: Suspect in Marshall hatchet attack incompetent
MARSHALL, TEXAS (LONGVIEW NEWS JOURNAL) — An expert says a man accused in a December hatchet attack at Walmart in Marshall is incompetent to stand trial.
Christopher Hamilton, 28, an Arkansas transient, was arrested Dec. 9 and charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after police say he went into a Walmart and attacked two of the store’s employees and a customer with a hatchet. A Harrison County grand jury indicted him earlier this month on three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
