Public option health care could be dropped

TYLER The idea of government run healthcare has stirred up a backlash around the country, and now Washington has taken notice. While it seems many agree the health care system needs some attention, it's the government run part of reform that has people speaking out.
What I don't understand is what the people that are ranting against health care reform want their tax money to go for - perhaps more bridges to nowhere, unpopular wars, etc. As for me, I want my hard-earned tax dollars to pay for universal health care, universal education, defense of our shores and nothing else.
