Some of the sweetest dogs come from the cruelest breeders, puppy mill operators.

Puppy mill operators are getting away with selling dogs by making them available online, but not for much longer.

On Tuesday the USDA announced they would be cracking down on these online "pet stores" by putting new regulations into place.

These rules will require breeders of four or more female dogs, who sell their puppies online to have the same regulations as whole sale breeders.

These regulations include having a license or at least letting the buyer see the dog in person first.

Veterinarians say they are a lot of health problems that come with puppy mill animals. Dr. Laura Cauthen of Animal Medical Center of Tyler says, " Genetic problems result such as heart defect you can have genetic type of mange, certain types of hips when you don't have a breeder who's very in tune to try and keep those things out of the blood line."
