Rabid skunk found in Hudson
Animal tested positive last month
Lufkin — The Lufkin Daily News is reporting; a deadly reminder to pet owners across East Texas: rabies is alive and well and infecting animals.
County animal control officials say a Hudson skunk tested positive last month.
Angelina County Sheriff’s Deputies say a concerned citizen disposed of the animal before bringing its carcass to animal control for testing.
And rabies is not the only concern. Animal Control officers remind pet owners some wild animals also can carry; canine distemper.
