Some are going up in price

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - Texas Rangers CEO Chuck Greenberg says
prices for some 2011 season tickets for the AL champions are going
up less than 5 percent.

Season tickets went on sale Friday.

Greenberg told The Dallas Morning News that prices for some
season tickets are going down. He says increases are a greater in
premium locations. The team's website on Friday did not list 2011
ticket prices.

Greenberg, part of a group including Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan
that this summer bought the bankrupt team, says they're not trying
to "exploit the tidal wave of enthusiasm for the Rangers" by
dramatically increasing prices.

Greenberg says Texas sold between 8,000 and 9,000 season tickets
in the 2010 regular season, after which the Rangers played in their
first World Series, losing to San Francisco.
