TYLER - More than 100 laid off Carrier workers are now getting help from Workforce Solutions of East Texas.

Director Steve Lynch tells us, an arrangement was made between Workforce Solutions and Carrier Corporation.

It's called "Rapid Response."

It teaches those laid off workers, more about unemployment and other benefits.

Steven Lynch says, "The primary thing we're trying to do is provide them with training on job readiness, financial management, stress management, those types of seminars that will help them make this adjustment to finding another job."

On Friday, Carrier laid off around 140 of its workers.

A company spokesperson says the reason was because of low order volume.

This is the second round of layoffs at Carrier this year.
