Brandi Wells of Tyler went missing 7 years ago after leaving a Longview night club on August 3rd.

Because of the time and no evidence, the case went cold.

But,  even now her family still wants answers.

And investigators think her disappearance might be linked to a growing problem here in East Texas--- sex trafficking.

"We've suffered long enough and so as she," said Wells' Godmother Michelle Cole.

Family members of Wells describe her as a caring, and trusting young woman.

"I'm afraid that could of been one of the reasons why she was taken," said Cole.

On August 3rd 2006, her family tells KETK Wells went to a club in Longview alone.

"Since she was moving back to this area and going to school in Athens again she just wanted to get out and see if she could meet some new people," said Cole.

Shortly after midnight, Wells went missing.

"I'm just really afraid she could of made herself a target that night and somebody there was watching."

Police found her car on Interstate 20, a couple miles down from the club, with an empty gas tank, her ex-boyfriend's cell phone and her purse

"We're just puzzled as to what could have happened to her."

Years and years of searching, they had no answers.

There was no evidence, no body and no leads to her whereabouts.

Her family started to lose hope.

The FBI and Longview police closed the case.

But Cole, from the beginning, had a strong feeling Wells became a victim of human trafficking.

"All I kept hearing was Michelle these things don't happen anymore these days but they do."

Cole attended a meeting hosted by Grassroots America about the growing problem of human trafficking in East Texas.

"I did get to speak with a lot of law enforcement and other organizations and it is a definite possibility that this could have happened to Brandi."

A glimmer of hope after years of suffering.

"Sometimes 7 years later someone might decide to say something."

Cole said an agent from the Department of Homeland Security is now re-opening Wells' case.

"When I started telling him Brandi's story, he looked me straight in the eye and said I have her file on my desk and that was just amazing. I can't even describe how excited I was about that," said Cole.

Just watched this again this morning while waiting at doctor's office. I pray that God will bring all things to light and give this family closure. Dear God, please bring answers.

Ok - the tall guy in the cowboy hat, in the first video where the Mom mistakenly thinks the girl is Brandy but turns out it is not, this guy was standing behind that girl, she dropped something and he picks it up and sneakingly puts it in his pocket. When he reappears in the real video of Brandy, he waits a few steps behind then gets her attention. I dont care if he owns the club, someone should speak to him, he may know something. Also the phone location, drugs are not an impossibility.

did the police check out the guy in the cowboy hat who was really close to Brandi because he starts walking to the left and Brandi then turns to the left and walks in that direction the guy with the white cowboy hat?????

I just watched this in mass !!! So many mistakes made!!! The guy in cowboy hat , he definitely said something to her!!! what about pulling Brandys cell phone records!! Maybe she had her phone with her or the sick &€¥% that hurt her used it!! Was their any DNA in the car? Didn't see anything on that!!It just seems like family doing more than every1!!! can someone explain to me how you can close a case that isn't solved yet???

I was thinking that exact same thing when I was just watching about her case on disappeared. Did they?

The phone they found in the car was the killers . he accidently grabbed her phone instead these cops are keystone cops.

The phone was an old boyfriends that was a serviceman stationed overseas at the time of her disapearance.

It belonged to her ex-boyfriend who was serving in Iraq at the time of the disappearance you idiot!

Crash! Is this something you know for sure? Or is this just your theory?

I ha

(contd.) It is almost as if he told her to walk in one direction until he believed she would be out of the range of the camera and then change direction. He looks her way and casts suspicious glances around as well. He also takes small steps as though he is matching her pace...a very unnatural exit. In addition, Brandi's hand is held behind her back...is she signalling the camera? The man also is tall...he could easily have been the reason the driver's seat was so far back. Please revisit him!

I just watched the show and I was focusing on the same guy he seems very suspecting..He should be the first on interview and nobody seems to notice or interview people in the bar..

I just watched the episode on Disappeared about Brandi's disappearance and there are several observations I made about the surveillance footage of Brandi leaving the night club. She walks out to the right, whereas she walked in from the center. Also, the man in the hat who followed her out was pretty close behind and was clearly watching her...he looks at her more than once. He appears to shadow the direction she walked and he makes a big arc as though he is making sure she changes direction.

I just watched the episode on Brandi's disappearance on the TV show Disappeared, and it seems to both myself and my fiance very suspicious that when she left the night club she walked in a different direction than she had come from when she walked in. Also, there are multiple things that we both noticed in the surveillance footage: The man with the hat follows closely behind her and is clearly focused on her as he exits the door and appears to be making sure that she changes direction..it would

Just saw it this morning on Discovery.
Two things that are looking strange.
1) She dress very nice to go to a pawnshop
2) The man left with here at the night club was wearing a very big cowboy hat. During day time I would find it normal but at night time, his face was very good covered with it.

She didnt leave with that man they had been looking at the wrong person she left alone

I just saw the case on the TV show Disappeared on the ID channel. Very sad and heartbreaking for the family. I'm assuming this has been looked into already but the tv show never mentioned it. Has anyone ever looked into the gentleman that walked out of the club immediately after Brandi? I know the investigator said she walked in a different direction but then her shadow showed her walking the same way he did (to the left of the screen). Possibly if she drank too much he offered to drive her car?

I recently saw the program about the Missing Brandi Wells and believe the burning body found near Longview needs to reexamined for DNA. Dental records are not that reliable due to human error. The dental records compared to the corpse may not have belonged to Brandi. Check the DNA since the mom saw Brandi's face in the corpse!!

we all make our own judgements ,but if you listen properly, the mother dint see her face in Brandi's corpse, she see it in the composit made of the face of the Jane doe(found burning) but its only a composite, Even though they are extremely reliable, it might not be her, but I believe you are right in the sense of it being looked into, as EVERYTHING, Should be re-examined revisited everything done again, and the person who said about the dental xrays being wrong, I completely agree,HUMAN ERROR

I agree
