East Texas — Fresh, juicy and handpicked from the vine: Watermelon season is in full force.

This past week, cutters and field workers at Greg Green Farms in Henderson picked around 150,000 pounds of watermelon from its 110 acres. The fruit is shipped as far away as Arkansas.
