SMITH COUNTY - Authorities are warning you, about tickets and even arrests on the lakes, if you drink and drive.

Game Wardens say, it's been a quiet season so far on the lake.

But they say, drinking too much and not having the proper safety gear could change that.

Life jackets are a must, and Game Wardens say, it's important to have a designated driver on the boat and when you get back in the car.

Here is Smith County Game Warden Chris Green's best advice.

"Just continue to be vigilant. We'll have a little traffic. Alcohol consumption is a big concern of ours. We Game Wardens are going to be part of no refusal weekend."

They will also get a blood test for alcohol from you, if you refuse a breathalyzer test.
