Media reports are stating Governor Rick Perry received a letter from the Federal Emergency Management Agency saying they are not going to provide money to assist in rebuilding a Central Texas town that was ripped apart by a fertilizer plant explosion where homes and businesses were lost and 15 people were killed.

The letter states FEMA reviewed the appeal for funds to help West, Texas, but according to standards FEMA has, the impact from the explosion is not severe enough to warrant aid.

According to West Mayor Tommy Muska, funds are needed to cover $57-million in damages, including $40-million to reconstruct the school.

KETK will update information as it becomes available.

Obama stood at the podium at the memorial for the fallen first responders (I was there) and assured those present that the government would provide the help needed to recover and rebuild........another one of his lies! I think it is time for citizens of this country to ramp up our opposition to this, and other policies of this administration! Oh, just a thought, but, couldn't he (Obama) use one of his 'executive orders' to override FEMA???
