Resident suffers upper body burns in Tyler house fire

Live ammunition inside the house
Police reports now confirm that there was live ammunition in the house at the time of the fire. Investigators are looking into if any of them ignited.
Neighbors say the man kept to himself and thought he was a Tyler taxi driver. Officials say he also suffered burns to his face as well as his upper torso.
No word on his condition.

More reports are coming in on the early morning house fire in North Tyler.
Around 1:30 a.m. Tyler Police and Fire officials responded to 328 W. Lorance where a male was inside the residence when the fire took place. Reports show the fire is assumed to have started in the front living room.
The man was taken to a local hospital with burns to his upper body. No reports on how severe the burns are.
There were reports that there was live ammunition exploding at the time, but it turned out that it was an electric line that exploded with fire firefighters was dousing the flames with water.
KETK was first on scene. Albert Belez is talking with neighbors and fire officials right now and will give a further report later.

KETK photographer Alber Belez reports that the house is a total loss. Neighbors say there was a man living there and fortunately he got out.

Tyler Police and Fire report that there's a fully-involved fire at 328 Lorance in North Tyler. Reports also show that there's ammunition in the house at this time.

It is not live ammo that is the danger. Hair spray cans, propane cans, gas cans, etc... are far more dangerous.
Live ammo will not 'explode' like a bomb. Gunpowder burns but unless it is tightly confined it won't explode. The cartridge cases will split open with a 'pop' and the power burns.
So the TFD finds out it was electrical lines but not ammo. Then why not change the headlines as false news is false news.
