(CNN) -- Presumptive Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and his running mate, Paul Ryan, will campaign together on Friday and Saturday, CNN has learned.

The duo will attend a rally at the Long Family Orchard Farm and Cider Mill in Commerce, Michigan on Friday, the campaign said in a statement. On Saturday, the pair will campaign in Ohio, a source told CNN.

The two previously hit the trail together for portions of a bus tour the weekend in which Romney introduced Ryan, the House Budget Committee chairman, as his running mate. The tour included a homecoming stop in Ryan's home state of Wisconsin. And the two GOP candidates held a joint town hall event earlier this week in New Hampshire.

Romney grew up in Michigan, although he later moved to and was governor of Massachusetts. Romney's father was governor of Michigan.

The week after their Michigan event, Romney and Ryan will be in Tampa to accept their party's nomination.

On the CNN Electoral Map Michigan is listed as leaning in President Barack Obama's favor. The state, which this year has 16 electoral votes, last year went to Obama over Sen. John McCain, 57% to 41%.
