Rusk County — A Tatum veteran was acquitted on the charge of retaliation in fewer than 30 minutes Monday by a Rusk County jury.

Retaliation is threatening a working public servant with an illegal act.

Robert Donald Stanley, 55, was accused of threatening to assault Rusk County Deputy Sheriff Ben Reynolds, who was investigating a disturbance between Stanley and a woman.
