Rusk County reinstates provisional burn ban

RUSK COUNTY —
On November 3rd, Rusk County Commissioners in special Commissioners Court Meeting reinstated the Rusk County Provisional Order Restricting Outdoor Burning.
This order states that all outdoor burning without proper precautions such as burn being well attended, enclosed in a burn barrel/receptacle, water available, no wind blowing and permission from local/volunteer fire department for large burn is banned in unicorporated areas. This ban does not prohibit outdoor burning activities related to public health and safety which include firefighter training, public utility, natural gas pipeline or mining operations, and harvesting of agricultural crops.
