SCBA, TX Lawyers for TX Vets to hold free legal clinic for veterans
Tyler, Texas (KETK) — The Smith County Bar Association in cooperation with Texas Lawyers for Texas Vets will hold a free legal clinic for Smith County area Veterans, on July 9, 2014, from 4 to 7p.m. at the Smith County R. B. Hubbard “HUB” Center, located at 304 East Ferguson Street in Tyler. Volunteer attorneys will provide brief legal consultations (10 to 15 minutes) to qualifying U.S. Veterans and their spouses on a first come, first serve basis.
Areas of consultation may include civil legal areas such as: family law (divorce, custody, and child support), bankruptcy, consumer, landlord/tenant, wills and probate, IRS controversies, and other limited legal issues. Current Lone Star Legal Aid financial guidelines will apply for free legal representation. Veterans and their spouses must reside in Smith County or have legal issues in Smith County in order to participate.

Please bring any legal documents that have been served or any prior court papers affecting the legal matter.
