LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - Police say they've found a body while searching for a missing 15-year-old Lubbock girl listed for weeks as a runaway.
Lubbock police Capt. Greg Stevens would not comment to reporters whether the body resembled that of Lubbock Monterey High School student Elizabeth Ennen.
He said there would be no comment until the Lubbock County medical examiner establishes its identity.
Police found the body on a remote county road near Shallowater, about 10 miles northwest of Lubbock.
Police say Ennen apparently was abducted during a Jan. 4 baby-sitting job at a southeastern Lubbock motel.
Meanwhile, 45-year-old Humberto Maldonado Salinas Jr. remains in Lubbock County Jail charged with aggravated kidnapping in Ennen's disappearance.
