Semi knocks out traffic lights at Highway 31, Loop 323

UPDATE : Officials tell KETK that the traffic signals at State Highway 31 and the west loop are back in service.

 


 

UPDATE: Tyler Police tell KETK the knocked out traffic lights will not be up until later this evening.

They encourage anyone driving in the area to use alternative routes.

West Irwin at Loop 323 is closed to southbound traffic.


ORIGINAL: Authorities are diverting southbound traffic on the west side of Loop 323 in Tyler Monday afternoon.

According to the Tyler Police Department, a semi ran into a pole at the intersection of Highway 31 West, or Chandler Highway, and Loop 323. The lights are currently without power.

Crews are at the scene working to repair the knocked out lights.

Drivers are urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes. Traffic can not access Highway 31 West from Loop 323.

There were no reported injuries.
