Senate Republican Caucus write letter of support for Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst
TEXAS — The Texas Senate Republican Caucus, which is headed by East Texas Senator Robert Nichols, of Jacksonville, sent a letter supporting Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst for U.S. Senate.
The letter was addressed to Texans, and says that "statements have been made that are untrue regarding the records of Lt. Governor David Dewhurst, The republican Texas senators, as well as Gov. Rick Perry." They claim that this letter is meant to "set the record straight".
It is signed by 18 of the 19 senators in the republican caucus, including East Texas senators Kevin Eltife and Bob Deuell. The letter outlines key issues such as the TSA Anti-Groping bill, and the Anti-Sanctuary Cities bill.
