Senator Hutchison supports some gun control

WASHINGTON D.C — Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Texas) expressed support for gun control on Sunday.
“We ought to be looking at where the real danger is, like those large clips, I think that does need to be looked at,” Hutchison told CBS's Face The Nation. "It's the semi-automatics and those large magazines that can be fired off very quickly. You do have to pull the trigger each time, but it’s very quick.”
Hutchison also said that she supported having more armed police in schools, but said those decisions need to be made at a local level.
Hutchison has been a longtime supporter of gun rights and has an A rating from the NRA. In 2007, she sponsored the District of Columbia Personal Protection Act, a bill to overturn DC's handgun ban.

It is sad politicians knee-jerk their response and don't think. In 1927 a nut used bombs to kill 47 and injure 50 at a school. No 'clips' or guns used. In the 1980s a man with gasoline burned down a disco after blocking the doors. Over 80 died. No 'clips' or guns used.
We need to control the insane population. We need 'School Marshals', teachers trained to use weapons and armed. We need to look at violent games and the under age. But 'clips', spare me, that is just a 'do something' knee-jerk

Tell the soon-to-be ex-Senator that a) they are magazines, and b) all one has to do is bring several magazines 10 short or 20 or 30, and exchange the magazines after they are empty... or just uses a second gun.
With 'gun free' zones the kids and teachers are forced to just hide and DIE defenseless. Hiding does not stop the killers, people with guns do.
Banning 'clips' will do NOTHING. Institutionalization of insane people will.
